Hands-on Learning with Artificial Intelligence
Through hands-on learning, interdisciplinary collaboration, and faculty mentorship, you'll develop practical skills in programming, data, machine learning, and ethical AI while exploring how intelligent technologies can address real-world challenges. Every student can take core classes to develop basic AI literacy. Here are a few of the courses we offer:
- MTH 107 Practical AI and Computers I: This course introduces students to the fundamentals of artificial intelligence, computer hardware, and data management with an emphasis on real-world applications.
- ETH:PHI 241 Ethics and Society in Artificial Intelligence and Technology: Examines the ethical, social, and policy implications of artificial intelligence and emerging technologies
- GRD 222 Design Thinking, AI, and the Future of Innovation: This studio seminar introduces the human-centered design process - empathy, problem framing, ideation, prototyping, and testing - as a practical way to address complex challenges across various disciplines.
